This position helps make gospel teachings, resources, or services accessible to all in a simple and affordable way, supporting the mission of the Church.
This position will work with prepared files to see that they are ready for plate making procedures and to correct any problems that may exist in getting the plates prepared for the presses. The Mac Operator 1 can pre-flight a file, prepare page for printing, RIP page for proofing or output, imposition pages, create PDF files, place files on FTP site, and archive file when complete. Be able to check files to see that parameters and resolution are correct for printing, can retrieve archived files, can do global color corrections, and can do simple airbrushing to clone out problems or extend simple backgrounds.

- 30% Preflight
- 20% Proofing
- 5% Plating
- 5% Organizing/Admin
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Three (3) years printing/graphics experience
- Knowledge of digital prepress workflows, including various hardware and software applications for graphics such as Adobe Graphics Suite
- Knowledge of all aspects of digital prepress and other printing processes
- Knowledge of color theory
- Must have excellent English communication skills in speaking, writing and comprehension
- Must be dependable and on time
- Leadership experience preferred
