The Managing Director, Health System Services Strategy & Business Development will formulate a strong product offering and execute a go-to-market approach leveraging a portfolio of capabilities across the enterprise to maximize health system touch points and relationships. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring influential partnerships with executive-level business leaders and core support functions, such as Finance, Technology, Legal, etc. The product offering has the potential to impact and touch nearly every line of business across the enterprise. This role will be responsible for helping the organization realize new value creation from the strategies developed and deployed in support of a health system and provider-oriented client base.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for developing, executing and owning our health systems product approach by maximizing health system relationships that exist across the enterprise.
Will serve as a sales operations resource representing our connections with health systems and identifying solutions to help meet health system needs.
Responsible for evolving a go-to-market strategy that combines the above into a cohesive health system offering for Evernorth.
Responsible for executing the strategy to ensure we realize the full value, and tracking value realization
Will lead future expansion phases to capitalize on introducing other Evernorth and Cigna solutions to health systems.
Will lead business development evaluations to enhance the existing health system services offering
Will serve as a primary leadership point of contact for health system services business development investments and acquisitions
Qualifications:
At least 12 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, product development and management, and/or business development within healthcare.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree and/or MBA is preferred.
Deep understanding of the provider/health system landscape and market, including the top pain points and issues that providers/health systems face, their multiple interfaces with insurers and vendors, and ideally established relationships with top health systems in the market.
Pharmacy knowledge and experience is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and influence to gain alignment from key stakeholders to drive success and execute tasks that enable the vision and strategy.
Executive presence with strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills both internally and externally.
Demonstrated experience and skill set in strategic planning, product development and management, business development and process improvement.
