Project Manager - Pharmacy Operations - Evernorth - Hybrid

As an Operations Project Senior Advisor for the Pharmacy Advancement Operating Effectiveness team, you will be responsible for providing program and project management over a portfolio of Evernorth Pharmacy Operations initiatives. These projects support key initiatives that typically include significant work process productivity improvements, operational expense savings, increased margin, change management, and technology changes. You will partner with business leadership across the Accredo/HD Front-end, Contact Center, Fulfillment, Sales and Technology to provide support for annual portfolio planning, project initiation, and execution that ensures value realization from original concept through final implementation. You will establish a project team, set the project schedule, estimate project resource plans, and maintain status reports for all business resources and end users. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a combined pharmacy organization as well as have a direct impact on patients.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Manage projects & programs comprised of multiple cross functional teams

• Partner with project sponsors to develop and gain approval for project charter. Develop end to end project plan with all key milestones required to achieve business objectives

• Independently develop project approach (key stakeholders, project organization, governance, change management, phases, etc.). Plan and hold project kickoff meetings to launch projects.

• Independently develop risk management plan which includes risk identification, risk mitigation, contingency planning, execution, and tracking.

• Aid business team members with issues needing cross-functional expertise or complex business knowledge.

• Support projects that define and implement major process improvements across an entire department or multiple business functions.

• Effectively communicate with leadership team through regular meetings and presentations to provide project status updates and get sponsor and stakeholder buy-in.

• Continuously research and provide best practice improvements related to project management. Mentor one or more people in project management roles in the organization.

• Independently support and resolve issues and conflicts and escalate to senior leadership as needed.

Ideal Candidates Will Have a Combination of the Following:

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred

• 5 years of project management experience

• PMP certification a plus

• Experience in home delivery, specialty pharmacy and/or PBM preferred

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools and methodology, including PowerPoint

• Working knowledge of Agile methodology preferred

• Strong relationship management skills, including managing the expectations of multiple stakeholders

• Exceptional executive presence in written and verbal communications (poise in front of large, senior audiences)

• Comfortability with ambiguity, ability to manage with vision and purpose, and drive to a cohesive and collaborative result

• Strong organizational skills to accomplish many tasks within a specified timeframe

• Demonstrated ability to influence across a matrixed organization and develop trusting working partnerships with internal and external business partners

• Self-motivated, detail oriented, and willingness to adapt to tactical needs in a fast-paced, changing environment

• Strong business acumen, with proven ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas and new types of projects

• Some travel may be required
