Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations
Primary Role and Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations is to manage and supervise various aspects of Citadel Athletics’ internal functions which include, but are not limited to: Sports Performance, Compliance, Campus Collaboration and Sport Oversight.
Job Functions
- They will be responsible for all aspects of the compliance program including but not limited to: recruiting, eligibility, APR, financial aid, playing and practice seasons, and NIL. Work closely with the Faculty Athletic Representative to address related issues.
- Oversees sport programs and their respective head coaches and staff as designated by the Athletic Director.
- Works as part of the Department Executive Team. Oversees multiple internal units (as assigned by the Director of Athletics) and provide support, oversight, conduct evaluations, budget development, spending authority, hiring, dismissals and addressing disciplinary issues when required.
- Serves as the department’s liaison to the Academic Center and other Campus Offices.
- Serves on committees, councils, and attends meetings as needed
Minimum educational requirements: A Bachelor's degree is required. Must have served previously as an Assistant or Associate AND have at least 5 years of intercollegiate athletic administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred. Experience with athletics compliance programs preferred. Knowledge of NCAA and Southern Conference rules and regulations for a Division I program.
Additional Comments:
This role may have Senior Women Administration (SWA) responsibility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
