Job Responsibilities :
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking an Payroll Analyst position in the Budget and Finance Office. This role will be responsible for assisting with payroll processing, assisting the Budget Director, and other financial services tasks as needed. Responsibilities will include :
Payroll
- Responsible for timekeeping system reconciliation, entry of various payroll forms, and monitoring use of leave and tax exemptions.
- Prepares requests for payment of payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits.
- Submits semi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly payroll reports.
- Perform and analyze various payroll reconciliations on an annual, quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc basis.
- Assists with year-end payroll tax form preparation.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A bachelor's degree in an unrelated field may be considered with relevant payroll experience. Knowledge of the accounting practices, principles, and terminology. Knowledge of accounts payable and payroll processing. Ability to proficiently apply mathematical concepts and to analyze and interpret related data. Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with excel, adobe and other software preferred.
