Seeking a client-focused, dynamic individual with a passion for exceptional service to step into an instrumental role as a Client Service Specialist! Help lead the smooth operation of a fast-paced—and friendly—financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial and assist in daily business operations.
As a Client Service Specialist, you must exemplify the company’s core values and be dedicated to providing an exceptional client experience.
Preference given to individuals holding insurance and/or securities licenses, but licensing is not required.
Position Functions:
Client Service:
- Coordinate scheduling and preparation of client appointments on behalf of the Financial Advisor(s).
- Provide client support including onboarding, account maintenance, money movement, and general inquiries.
- Update and review estate planning documents including Trusts and Powers of Attorney.
- Review and respond to emails and phone calls as necessary.
- Use specific Ameriprise tools.
Business and Practice Management:
- Maintain compliant files and records.
- Plan and prioritize individual work schedule.
- Use to-do lists, calendars, computer software or other time management systems.
- Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the Financial Advisor(s).

Education and/or Experience:
- Preference given to individuals holding insurance and/or securities licenses.
- Client service experience in a wealth management office strongly preferred.
- Two years’ customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Continuing education – Lifelong learning is expected.
Language Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential and mandatory.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Computer Skills:
- Able to use MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Teams, Adobe, accounting software, contact management systems, database software and other software tools as necessary.
- Salesforce® CRM experience a plus.
Technical duties, tasks, and skills:
- Able to accurately process Money Movement requests.
- Able to prepare and understand a financial plan.
- Able to navigate the Ameriprise Financial website and guide clients through the website.

Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to handle significant levels of varied stresses, in particular mental stresses and fatigues. This position operates in a fast paced, highly regulated and ever-changing environment. There are no significant physical demands other than the endurance required to deal with the fast pace and stresses.
Work Environment:
The work environment is typical office work such as you would find in a bank, insurance business, accounting firm, law firm or other professional office. There are no unusual or significant hazards and reasonable accommodations can usually be made.
