Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the compliance officer in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking regulations and laws. Two years compliance experience, or five years loan operations and/or deposit operations experience is required. Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on compliance-related topics to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including reports, findings, and corrective actions.
- Participate in training sessions to educate staff on compliance policies and procedures.
Skills
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
