Job Summary :
Through a strong Christian worldview, the Resident Assistant (RA) is a frontline communicator and is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all people and property at Laura's Home.

Ensures Safety and Security
Maintains the safety & security of Laura's Home- all people and property - by following procedures and enforcing rules and boundaries.Monitors resident activities
Responds to all incidents and emergency situationsPerforms physical rounds of buildings and propertyPerforms searches of bagsWatches security cameras for irregularities, concerns, or problemsMaintains safe and clean front deskFrontline Communication
Communicates courteously and professionally with all callers, visitors, and residents.Refers residents and callers to appropriate staff.Documents all shift activities, including incident reports and resident behaviors.Completes intake paperwork and reviews rules with new residents.Requirements

Education / Experience :
High school diploma or GED required.Experience working with individuals in crisis is preferred.Experience in de-escalation and crisis management is preferred.Additional Eligibility Qualifications :
