The City of Cedar Park
Under direction, is responsible for the collection of fees from guests, the cleanliness of works area, and customer service.
The Position
- Performs customer service functions, including greeting guests as they enter, handling questions and complaints, answering the telephone, giving driving directions and taking messages;
- Must be able to verbally communicate with both public and staff effectively;
- Collects money from admissions sales, including calculating correct change;
- Process credit card machine transactions;
- Maintains, inventories and cares for City property and equipment;
- Keeps supervisor informed of materials and supplies necessary to conduct daily business;
- Demonstrates cooperative behavior with team, supervisors and the public;
- Performs general cleaning of work area;
- Processes pool pass sales;
- Enforces facility rules when necessary; and
- Maintains positive public relations.
- Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
Acceptable Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses
Must be at least 16 years of age, by date of hire.
At least one year of cashier experience is preferred
Customer service experience and experience handling money, preferred.
Supplemental Information
Knowledge of: basic accounting concepts.
Skill/Ability to: make change for cash accurately; handle a high-volume of customers, establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and the general public; provide effective customer service; and work some holidays, weekends and evenings.
