Job Description:
In this role, you will plan, direct, and implement all housing construction, rehabilitation and preservation programs by performing the following duties.
Examples of Duties:
- Provides overall management of housing construction, rehabilitation and preservation programs.
- Ensures quality review and monitoring of federally funded housing programs to ensure program compliance.
- Manages City housing construction projects from selection and award of design contract through completion of construction.
- Implements Lead-based Paint Hazard Control grants.
- Performs the work of those supervised as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in architecture, engineering, building science or a related field and 6 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.
Other Necessary Requirements:
- May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
