The Selection Process:
The duration of the selection process is approximately 2 to 5 months.
The process involves the following:
(1) Online application and Panel Interview
(2) Polygraph exam
(3) Background Investigation
(4) Drug Screening
(5) Approval by the Hiring Board.
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification.
Must operate a computer terminal to access and interact with the computer databases utilized by the unit. Research all requests received and track all assigned requests at the different stages of completion.
Communicate with the State Attorney’s Office, partner law enforcement agencies, attorneys, businesses, and private citizens for clarification on requests. Create case files to deliver all relevant information related to assigned requests.
Review videos for redaction, clipping videos, and other information that should be referred to a supervisor.
Be prepared to learn and utilize applications Movie Maker, Adobe Premiere, and other BWC proprietary software for video redaction.
Research and review digital evidence classifications to ensure compliance with prescribed procedures and guidelines.
Performs tasks and other technical functions at the direction of an immediate supervisor or designee.
Completion of 60 Credits in Criminology, Police Administration, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
OR
2 years of digital clerical experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience beyond a high school diploma.
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.Applicants must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and pass a background screening.
