What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time IT Technician position at The City of Coral Gables?
Under the general direction of the IT Director and senior management the Part Time IT Technician provides support for software, hardware and IT services in the City. The Technician also supports department Help Desk and Network Operations Center (NOC) functions and troubleshoots issues by phone and in person.
Provides day to day computer, network, and applications support and troubleshooting; and, help desk and NOC phone and email support; and, digital accessibility support.
Manages requests for service and handles incident occurrence using the IT Service Request ticketing system.
Aids customers with Remote Access setup. Own and track issues and requests from initial customer contact through to resolution and completion, including documentation of all calls. Fulfill all request and trouble calls to the satisfaction of the customer.
Provides provide for support for mapping, dashboard and data requests; updating web and map content; warehouse and inventory management; support for low voltage cabling and network/telecom infrastructures; and, perform other related tasks as required.
Participates as needed to complete and assist with projects as assigned and required by Senior Staff.
Experienced with setup, configuration, use, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, cabling, network equipment, and other IT hardware and systems.
Proficient in Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft office skills, Remote Desktop Protocols TCP/IP, configurations, antivirus, Active Directory, and Windows Tools & Utilities.
Valid Florida Driver's License
