The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation is recruiting for seasonal positions to work with our 2025 Summer Day Camp, offering Camp Fort Worth and the Mobile Recreation Programs. We are looking for enthusiastic Camp Leaders who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while encouraging kids to engage with their peers, grow and develop, and try something new, all while having fun! Camp Fort Worth and Mobile Recreation are Summer Day Camp programs located at 20 community centers and 4 schools throughout the City of Fort Worth.
- Attendance is required at orientation, which is June 2 –6
- The 2025 Camp Fort Worth Program operates June 9 through August 1 and is offered between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- The Mobile Recreation Summer Day Camp Program operates from June 9 through July 25 and is offered between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
- Candidate must be comfortable and willing to get into the water for any aquatic-related activities and field trips.
- The positions will work up to a maximum of 40 hours per week (Seasonal Position with no benefits).
This Position qualifies for the following incentives which are separate from the base pay:
Completion of Assignment Pay You can earn up to a $300 incentive pay, which is based on the amount of days worked while on assignment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be minimum of 16 years of age by May 1
The Camp Leader's job responsibilities include:
- Supervise children during a variety of summer day camp activities, including recreational, cultural, and educational programs, indoor and outdoor events, aquatic activities, arts and crafts, and sports.
- Assist in developing weekly lesson plans that integrate subjects such as science, math, reading, recreational games, arts and crafts, and college and career readiness activities
- Help teach different subjects using visual aids and hands-on activities.
- Ensure that disciplinary procedures are followed, safety standards are upheld, and all departments and facility policies are enforced.
- Adheres to assigned work schedules as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensures all behaviors comply with the City’s Personnel Rules and Regulations.

Depending on the assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Physical Demands:
Medium work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
