EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (EMT) TRAINEE
$ 18.00 hourly ($37,440 annually while in training)
$ 20.04 hourly ($45,856 annually upon graduation)

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18-35 YEARS OF AGE (cannot have reached 36th birthday by March 26, 2025)
- VALID and CURRENT DRIVER’S LICENSE
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, GED CERTIFICATE or 12 SEMESTER HOURS from an accredited college or university
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully pass a written test, a physical assessment test, a background check, a polygraph examination, a psychological examination, an interview board and a medical / physical examination.
ADDITIONAL EXAM POINTS:
Additional five (5) points shall be added to a passing exam score as follows:
- Military Veteran = Five (5) points with Honorable Discharge, per DD214 Member 4
- Must email a copy of DD214 Member 4 to FWFDHiring@fortworthtexas.gov no later than March 25, 2025 @ 6:30PM

NOTE: (1) The Civil Service Trainee exam will be a live, in-person exam and qualified applicants will be required to report in person on their assigned location, date and time to take the exam.
