Pay Range: $18.00/hr. - $21.31/hr.

Workdays & Hours: Full time, 40 hours. Flexibility is required, 24-hour shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays and have scheduled days off on days other than Saturday and Sunday. Shift Differential will be paid for all hours worked within the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

A Public Events Attendant position is available with The City of Fort Worth, Public Events Department / Will Rogers Memorial Center. This position plays a very important role in making sure our venues are clean, and all events are set up correctly and run smoothly. This position is available at the Will Rogers Memorial Center.
This position qualifies for the following incentive which is separate from the base pay:
***$2,000 Sign-On Incentive: 50% paid after the completion of first pay period, 50% paid after the completion of 6 months of employment. ***
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of or ability to obtain a High school diploma/GED within one year of employment and no required experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six (6) months of custodial (Janitorial) or manual labor work experience
- At least 6 months of heavy public contact experience (working large crowds)
- At least 6 months of forklift experience preferred
The Public Event Attendant job responsibilities include:
- Setting and removal of tables and chairs and other equipment required for contracted events.
- Cleaning of offices, restrooms, event spaces and other assigned buildings and facilities.
- Tasks will vary by event and is not limited to what is listed.
- Applicants for this position must be willing to work a flexible schedule that coincides with the events held at the facilities.
- Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensures all behaviors comply with the City’s Personnel Rules and Regulations.

Medium work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
