The City of Orem is currently hiring for an Assistant City Attorney. This is a full-time benefited position working under the general direction of the City Attorney. The Assistant City Attorney performs a wide variety of professional legal work representing the City. Responsible for writing various legal documents such as agreements, resolutions, ordinances, policies, research memoranda, letters, etc. Also responsible for reviewing various legal documents such as ordinances, resolutions, contracts and other documents prepared by other employees. Responsible for conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions on various things affecting the City.

Qualifications
- Graduation from accredited law school
- Certification of admission to Bar of the State of Utah
- Eligibility to practice law before courts of State of Utah and the United States District Court
- Two (2) years' experience in professional legal work is required
- Municipal law experience is desirable

Individual starting salary will depend on qualifications, certifications, and experience.The City also provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
