Employment Opportunity
The Orem Public Works Department is currently hiring for a Public Works Technician in the Streets Section. This is a full-time, benefited position working under direction of a Public Works Field Supervisor. Technicians are responsible for completion of specific duties related to street maintenance and construction. This position will operate various types of light to heavy duty specialized and construction equipment during the day and night, in congested traffic and in unsafe road conditions caused by factors such as fog, rain, ice and snow. Responds to calls on a stand by basis as assigned. Assists in the completion of records and reports.
Qualifications
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- One (1) year related street maintenance experience and/or equivalent training and education.
- Must possess and maintain valid Utah Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Pay and Benefits
$42,035.87 - $58,187.47 Annually. STARTING PAY TYPICALLY STARTS AT THE LOWER END DEPENDING ON QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE.
