PW WATER UTILITY SPECIALIST I, II OR III

Responsible for the completion of specific duties related to one or more of the following areas in the Water Utility Group: meter reading, meter testing, billing work orders, accuracy of billing, data filtering, data management, field maintenance, customer service and account management, or other relevant water utility responsibilities. Assists in the completion of records and reports. Performs duties that may include walking over uneven terrain, standing or driving for extended periods of time, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, working in confined spaces, and climbing in and around trenches or manholes. Lift on a regular basis tools and equipment weighing as much as 50 pounds and occasionally as much as 100 pounds. Work may require an exposure to stressful circumstances, including meeting deadlines and other stressful work conditions. May require contact with the public or other employees to provide information or resolve complaints in negative situations. Will observe traffic regulations, follow City policy, and be a safe, courteous, and responsible driver while operating City vehicles. Must wear a seatbelt and make certain the other passengers are in seatbelts when the vehicle is in operation.

Must maintain a valid Utah Drivers Licence. Skill in the operation of a computer and its various programs. Ability to work as part of a team.Requires graduation from high school or equivalent and progressively responsible experience. Other relevant skill sets may be substituted depending on knowledge and experience of construction principles.

Individual starting salary will depend on qualifications, certifications, and experience.
