The City of Overland Park has a full-time Drop-Off Recycling Center Attendant position available in the Parks and Recreation Department.
Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision, oversees the daily operation of the City’s drop-off recycling center. Supervises and directs volunteers and temporary staff assigned to the center. Assists and educates users of the facility about the center and recycling. Maintains the center’s upkeep, schedules container pickups, tracks accounts payable and records daily usage of facility. Assist Supervisor in emergency operations, including snow removal, as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver’s license and maintain and insurable driving record.
Experience:
- Experience working in a customer service environment preferred.
No City residency requirement.
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam and essential functions test.
Normal Work Hours: Variable schedule - full time (mgr to provide more details)
Pay Rate - Grade A: $18.89 - $20.99
