What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plymouth Community Center Custodian (Evenings and Weekends) position at The City of Plymouth?
The custodian plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and proper setup of the Plymouth Community Center. This position is essential for creating a welcoming environment for our community. This position would assist in preparing for and cleaning up from birthday parties, playground activities, weddings, meetings, classes & programs for children and seniors, and more.
Shift lengths and start times may vary based on building activities. Individuals can anticipate scheduled shifts being 4 – 6 hours in length.

Perform janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness throughout the community center and its grounds
Complete facility set-ups and teardowns for room arrangements under the direction of the Facility Coordinator/Building Supervisors
Conduct tasks such as changing light bulbs, washing windows, cleaning restrooms, restocking inventory, mopping floors, dusting, and performing light repairs
Operate maintenance equipment, including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and sweepers
Qualifications:
Must be able to work independently and efficiently; must be capable of working effectively during busy times.
Must have interpersonal skills to interact with the public in a professional manner
Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but training is provided.
Physical Qualifications:
This position will require physical labor in the form of moving tables, chairs and full trash bags.
Salary : $17 - $20
