What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Special Interest Instructors position at The City of Plymouth?
Plymouth Park & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs and classes throughout the year. We are continuously seeking instructors to propose and lead special interest classes for Preschoolers through Seniors in the areas of Education, Health & Fitness, Arts or Safety Education.
If you would like to propose a new class, your application need to be submitted prior to the deadlines listed below. Upon completion of the application, you will be contacted by the City of Plymouth to discuss the possibilities and requirements of offering a new class/program for the City of Plymouth Parks and Recreation.

- Fall deadline - May 1st.
- Winter deadline - September 1st.
- Spring/Summer deadline - December 1st.
- Plan, organize and direct activities for all ages in a recreation setting.
- Provide support as needed for all participants and staff to create an inclusive environment.
- Ensure quality programs for all ages.
- Follow staff policies and procedures; ensure all staff and participants follow the established policies and procedures.
- Provide a safe, fun and appropriate experience of all participants.
- Previous teaching, speaking experience related to proposed topic.
- References in area of expertise.
- Equivalent certification/qualifications for proposed session/topic.
- 18 years of age or older.
Salary : $24 - $48
