We're currently recruiting for an Applications Engineer 3. The primary responsibilities for the job are to support critical citywide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, primarily Workday's human capital management, financials, and payroll systems. Key responsibilities include managing the Workday tenant, ensuring application security, integrating third-party applications, implementing system enhancements, building reports, modifying business processes, and troubleshooting. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support system improvements, maintenance, testing, and problem resolution.
This is a full-time, regular, exempt position. The schedule for this position is M-F, 8am to 5pm.
At this time, this position is eligible for telework or hybrid schedule. As with all routine telework positions, employees may be required to come into the office on occasion based on business needs. Telework may be subject to change at a future time. Currently, all employees must reside in Oregon or Washington; the City cannot support ongoing telework from other locations.

Essential Functions :
- Create and maintain security groups and roles in Workday. Provide security access as needed.
- Build and modify business processes.
- Develop and manage integrations to / from third-party systems.
- Respond to help desk tickets regarding Workday technical issues.
- Responsible for Workday tenant management. Coordinate Workday technical activities with other departments.
- Collaborate with department subject matter experts (SME) to maintain, improve, test, and enhance the Workday functionality. Facilitate meetings as necessary.
- Participate in upgrades and new implementations of Workday modules.
- Provide support to internal customers by researching and resolving issues, unexpected results, or process errors, and escalate to Workday as needed.
- Maintain and edit Workday business processes, condition rules, and dashboards, ensuring changes and enhancements are consistent with requirements.
- Support subject matter expert to create job aids, training materials, system workflows, standard desk procedures, and other supporting documentation for Workday.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
