Parks-General Laborer

GENERAL LABORER-PARKS, RECREATION, AND FORESTRY DEPARTMENT

City of Watertown has added to the Parks and Forestry Team! This is a great opportunity to serve the community in maintaining the park system as a Full time General Laborer! Applicants will be responsible to perform all aspects of custodial maintenance of park facilities. Additional duties may extend to supporting the team in turf and plant material installation and maintenance, athletic fields, playground equipment, ice rinks, snow plowing, rubbish collection, building and facility maintenance. Will be part of the team to operate various size tandem and single axle dump trucks with snow removal equipment, single axle utility trucks, stump grinder and mowing equipment etc. Will operate air compressor, hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance related equipment.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Benefits package includes but is not limited to: paid vacation, sick, compensatory pay, medical, dental, vision, Wisconsin Retirement System, Flex Spending, Deferred Compensation and regular working hours.

This is a full-time hourly position 7:00am to 3:00 pm Monday -Friday. Weekend Rotation in the Summer with on call hours as weather or department has need.

Starting compensation is $20.14.
