JOB OVERVIEW
Under general supervision, collects various field data using portable Geographic Information
System (GIS) equipment.
SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating GPS units to collect precise location data for city assets.
- Identifying and marking points of interest on the ground using survey stakes or other methods.
- Performing quality checks on data accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Editing and updating GIS databases with new field data.
- Effectively communicate project progress and findings to team members and other individuals involved.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge and skills in surveying techniques, equipment, and software.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members and communicate survey findings.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and in uneven terrain.
WORKER REQUIREMENTS (education, certifications, experience, etc.)
PREFERRED : Experience using GPS Equipment
REQUIRED :
High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
Valid Drivers License
Able to work under varied conditions and perform moderate physical activity.
HOURS / SCHEDULING
Monday-Friday
7am-4pm
Overtime as Needed
Salary : $12 - $15
