POSITION DETAILS
New York City College of Technology (City Tech) of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college in downtown Brooklyn offering associate and baccalaureate degrees, invites applications for the Director of Student Academic Systems Integration.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Enrollment and Student Affairs and Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Student Academic Systems Integration:
- Directs and provides leadership for DegreeWorks, Schedule Builder (SEP) and Master Course File (MCF) teams.
- Oversees the development and timely implementation of all systematic upgrades and ongoing implementation of the various academic scheduling and degree planning platforms, including DGW, Coursedog, Schedule Builder, and SEP, in order to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develops policies and procedures to ensure successful implementation of all Student Academic Systems. Ensures college practices are aligned with academic standards and policies outlined by the University.
- Develops and delivers training sessions for Department Schedulers, Campus Administrators, and Enrollment Management and Student Affairs staff to foster proficiency across all platforms.
- Partners with Vice President for Enrollment & Student Affairs, Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management, and Academic Affairs, using data analysis to optimize academic scheduling needs.
- Directs assessment efforts and effectively communicates analyses in order to develop effective strategies, including reducing attrition and improving overall student satisfaction and retention. Recommends and assists in the development and implementation of University policies and procedures, ensuring strategic alignment with the Division of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing and conducting training to introduce and reinforce the administration of policies and procedures to new faculty, advisors, and other members of the College community
- Ability to use student management systems to research case histories and adjudicate decisions
- Knowledge of higher education operations and governance
- Experience reviewing policies and understanding governance processes necessary to propose and institutionalize policy change
- Ability to interpret and apply complex policy and procedures fairly and consistently
- Experience in academic integrity, or a related area of higher education preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Leads initiatives to develop and implement improvements to management and administrative practices and systems.
- Serves as a consultant to management in investigating current situations and in identifying the scope of the problem and potential solutions
- Conducts studies and reviews to design organizational or systems improvements, developing appropriate measurements and goals
- Serves as a change management leader in implementing major organizational or systems improvements; develops and executes implementation plans, reporting results and issues to management
- Develops and implements training, communications, ongoing task forces and teams, and other support to maintain and build on results
- Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$111,560.00-$129,310.00. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
