POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the Senior Director of Student Life and Community Standards, the Student Life Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in enriching the college experience by extending learning and engagement opportunities beyond the classroom. The primary responsibility is to coordinate and ensure the efficient day to day operations of the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development.
This position also collaborates closely with Student Life staff to support the planning and execution of annual Summer Student Leadership Retreats, conferences, seminars, and workshops that enrich the experiences of various student groups. The Student Life Coordinator is a key liaison between the Senior Director and various departments within the division, ensuring effective communication, operational efficiency, and alignment with institutional goals.
The duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating Payroll and hiring paperwork of students serving as college assistants and federal work study.
- Assisting Student Clubs with requests to support their events.
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the Student Life main office.
- Prepares work schedules for student employees.
- Coordinate inventory and purchasing of office equipment and supplies.
- Creates and updates daily and weekly schedule of student/club events.
- Working collaboratively with student groups, providing guidance and advice on college rules and regulations to enhance their event planning and execution.
- Conducting research on current trends and issues in higher education that impact students, integrating these findings into program enhancements.
- Preparing and managing online content, including updating multimedia content on the SLLD website, Campus Groups, and social media platforms to effectively engage students.
- Providing ongoing support and consultation to student groups, serving as an advocate for their concerns and a resource for their development.
- Assisting in processing event applications for on-campus and off-campus activities organized by student organizations, ensuring compliance with college policies.
- Assists with coordinating college-wide events such as Commencement, Convocation, and Orientation, contributing to their successful execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess a deep understanding of student development and the critical role that co-curricular programming plays in enhancing the college experience.
- They should demonstrate proven success in coordinatingservice-learning opportunities and assisting with student life engagement programming.
- The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter, capable of taking initiative, exercising sound judgment, and diplomatically resolving challenges.
- They must effectively engage with a diverse student body and demonstrate a collaborative approach when working with staff, faculty, and various campus departments.
- Strong organizational skills are essential, allowing the candidate to prioritize tasks, manage multiple demands, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal communication, presentation, and networking skills are required.
- Two years related experience.

Salary Range: $57,517 - $68,245. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
