The College of Staten Island (CSI) is a City Universityof New York (CUNY) senior college organized around two academic divisions and three schools, with over 10,000 students. CSI offers a broad range of academic programs in the liberal arts and sciences, and in several professional areas. The College awards associate's, bachelor's, master's and clinical doctoral degrees, and in collaboration with The CUNY Graduate Center, numerous Ph.D. degrees. The College Now Program is a collaborative initiative of the City University of New York (CUNY) and the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) to foster the active involvement of every college in the University in the promotion and support of successful college transition for NYC public high school students. The program enables students to develop academic momentum toward a college degree by providing opportunities for qualified students to earn up to 15 college credits during high school, acquire college-ready skills, familiarize themselves with the college environment, and learn about future careers. The program's success hinges on the collaboration between College Now and the DOE staff in partner high schools, Academic Departments, other College Now programs, and the Central Office.
Under the supervision of the College Now Assistant Director, the College Now administrative coordinator is responsible for thefollowing:

- MaintaineffectiverelationshipswiththeleadershipofallhighschoolsparticipatingintheCollegeNowProgram;
- Monitortheimplementationofallpoliciesandproceduresrelatedtostudentrecruitment,eligibilityforenrollmentin different types of activities, class placement, attendance and satisfactory performance, and adjust policies and procedures as needed;
- Conductinformationalandorientationactivitiesonprogrampoliciesandproceduresforstudentsandparents.
- Supportthecoordinationofhigh schoolandcollegelevelparticipationinallspecialCollegeNowactivities(suchasthe STEM RA, Myself Third and Model City Council);
- Assisttheprogrammanagerinthedevelopmentandimplementationofanannualplanofeducationalactivitiesin accordance with overall College Now priorities, policies and procedures;
- Assist with monitoringessentialindicatorsofprogrameffectiveness(registrations,attendance,retentionandacademicachievement);
- Supportthedevelopmentandimplementationofprofessionaldevelopment forallCollegeNowstaff;
- Establishand/ormaintaineffectiverelationshipswith collegestakeholdersincludingthefaculty,leadersofacademic departments, and administrative offices;
- CooperatewithotherCollegeNowcoordinatorsonthedevelopmentofappropriateandeffectivepartnershipswith the leadership of the New York City Department of Education, the leadership of relevant regional divisions and all relevant high schools.
- Work evening and weekend hours as required to support program functions and activities
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications Include
- Master’sdegreeinPsychology,Counseling,HigherEducation,EducationalPsychology,SocialWorkorrelatedfield/discipline.
- 2-yearsofexperienceworkinginhighereducationorwithculturallyandacademicallydiversestudentsorwith dual credit programs (high school to college), such as College Now or similar
- Atleastone-yearexperienceprovidingadministrativesupportinan education,publicserviceorotherrelated professional setting
- Strongorganizationalskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultipleassignments,establishpriorities,andmeetdeadlines
- Abilitytoorganize,prioritize,andcoordinateday-to-dayprojectsandassignmentswithattentiontodetail

Supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department.
- Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.
- Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
- Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
- Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
- Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
- May supervise office staff and student workers.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
