Admissions Advisor (aHEO)

POSITION DETAILS

Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the Admissions Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Counsels prospective applicants on Queens College requirements and standards and provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, e-mail, or virtually; conducts follow up as needed
• Conducts information sessions for prospective students who visit QC and sometimes asked to conduct tours of the QC campus.
• Reviews admissions applications and makes admissions decisions for both freshman and transfer applicants.
• Assists in planning and conducting open house and accepted student events.
• Represents QC Admissions at local high schools, at off campus recruitment events, and at various events on campus.
• Maintains and updates CUNYFirst account and performs admissions-related duties within CUNYFirst
• Performs related duties as assigned.
• Some evenings and weekend hours required
  
  

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-year previous admission or higher education experience
• Experience recruiting
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Hobson's Connect or other enrollment management CRM
• Valid driver’s license with automobile access
