The College Assistant for the CUNY Fatherhood Academy will assist and support Program Director and CUNY Fatherhood Academy staff in all responsibilities that include but are not limited to recruitment, data entry, communications (phone, e-mail, fax, etc.), copying & filing, participant supply distribution, inventory, correspondence, record maintenance, and office maintenance, event planning and special projects.
Specific Duties Include
Must be comfortable with phone communication, e-mail notifications, and working with young adults.
Must be able to adaptable to new tasks, as the needs of the program shift periodically.
Compensation
$18.54 per hour

- Performs routine clerical work; may answer and attend to telephone calls; maintain records,
act as messenger, and perform related tasks as required.
- Types letters, memoranda, charts, and similar materials.
- Acts as cashier.
- Assists in statistical or research activities. May collect and compile data, code data for computer entry, perform data entry, and run computer reports.
- Performs clerical library work, such as sorting and shelving books, performing data entry into library systems, or binding books and periodicals.
- Assists in instructional programs, including tutoring and assisting students in areas such as reading and mathematics. May assist in speech and hearing therapy, provide musical accompaniment, and/or distribute and collect physical education equipment.
- Enters and maintains departmental records such as inventory control records, rosters, directories, and schedules.
- May operate computers, computer software, and other electronic equipment in performing assigned tasks.

The College Assistant for the CUNY Fatherhood Academy will assist and support Program Director and CUNY Fatherhood Academy staff in all responsibilities that include but are not limited to recruitment, data entry, communications (phone, e-mail, fax, etc.), copying & filing, participant supply distribution, inventory, correspondence, record maintenance, and office maintenance, event planning and special projects.
Specific Duties Include
- Track and input data into the databases, spreadsheets and reports; create, update, and disseminate program specific documents and spreadsheets
- Procure, track inventory and process invoices
- Pick-up and deliver mail and supplies
- Schedule orientations' prepare documents, accommodations, and supplies for all recruitment and information sessions
- Setup. organize, maintain and audit folders
- Attendance monitoring that includes updating, distributing, collecting attendance sheets daily to instructors and case managers
- Prepare, track, and distribute Metro cards for student distribution; complete monthly metro card order
- Assist students with application process for program stipends and incentives that includes all steps in processing banking information
- Responsible for distribution, tracking, and follow-up with all program materials that include, but are not limited to books, school supplies, food service supplies, etc.
- Must demonstrate sufficient skills to perform the duties of the assigned tasks.
