POSITION DETAILS
Brooklyn College is soliciting applications for an IT Academic Technology Coordinator.
Reporting to the Director of Academic Information Technology (AIT), the IT Academic Technology Coordinator will work closely with the AIT’s faculty & student Instructional support team. The Brooklyn College Library/AIT Department is a combined and integrated organization which report to the Chief Librarian/Executive Director of AIT. AIT was formed as a college wide technology unit that would report to the academic, as opposed to the administrative, structure of College. Administratively, it is housed in the Library, and has been integrated into the Library’s organizational structure. AIT’s professional staff supports students and faculty in their efforts to integrate technology into their learning, teaching and research.
In addition to the CUNY overview, the IT Academic Technology Coordinator's responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
Provides support to students and faculty in the use of instructional systems, software, and programs.

- Facilitates workshops, webinars, and one-on-one training sessions tailored to user proficiency levels and institutional goals.
- Solicits feedback through surveys, focus groups, and post-training evaluations to measure knowledge transfer and identify areas for improvement.
- Assists with training operations, including workshop design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Assists in the creation of user-centric, scalable training materials, including eLearning content, instructional videos, user guides, and interactive tutorials.
- Assists in the establishment and maintenance systems for tracking and analyzing training participation, progress, and effectiveness.
- Stays current with emerging IT instructional needs and best practices to continuously improve offerings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite
- Familiarity with an Learning Management System
- Ability to design and conduct skill building workshops in both in person and online formats.
Provides support to students and faculty in the use of instructional systems, software, and programs.
- Researches and prepares program materials, FAQs, and user guides
- Provides telephone and/or email support for faculty and student users of instructional systems, software, and programs
- Develops training materials and delivers orientation/training sessions
- Maintains on-line information on web sites
- Acts as liaison to related areas such as CUNY's Computer and Information Services area, to evaluate and escalate reported problems, and disseminate information notices
- Assists faculty with use of instructional technology to support educational goals
- Performs other duties as assigned.
