Job Description
Bartender Server (Part-Time/ 1-31 hrs weekly)
Scope: The primary function as a Bartender Server will be to take drink orders, prepare mixed drinks, take food orders and deliver great customer service assuring gracious hospitality and prompt service as prescribed by company standards to the residents and patrons.
Organizational Structure: Reports directly to the Dining Services Director
Position Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and present beverage menus, making recommendations and answering all related inquiries.
- Promptly responding to customer/resident requests in polite and professional fashion.
- Accurately record and process transactions in POS system.
- Assists the Dining Room Coordinator and Dining Services Director with the preparation and serving of meals.
- Assists residents as needed during mealtimes.
- Ensures that food is presented to residents in a manner that is professional and appealing.
- Consistently practices proper sanitization procedures and follows the cleaning schedule.
- Documents the completion of assigned daily cleaning tasks.
- Participates in mandatory staff meetings.
- Utilizes effective and safe inventory and storage methods for food, paper products, dishes, serving utensils, cooking equipment and chemicals.
- Ensures food is labeled properly in the cooler, freezer and pantry.
- Promotes high levels of resident satisfaction.
- Ensures that the dining room set-up is consistently ready for designated and scheduled serving times and has a positive impact on food service hygiene.
- Cleans dishes, utensils and equipment according to company procedures. Stores all supplies and equipment to maintain cleanliness. Uses all equipment as directed.
- Performs additional tasks and duties as requested by the Regional Director of Dining Services.
Qualifications
- Has a working knowledge of spirits, wine, beer and standard drink recipes
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform and complete each essential duty satisfactorily and have excellent communication and language skills
- Ability to interact effectively with residents and community personnel
- Meet all specific state and federal regulations for assuming the position of food and beverage server at an assisted living facility
- High school diploma and/or GED, Bartenders Certification and SERV Safe Certification is preferred
- All licensures required for the position

- Continuous walking and standing
- Must be able to perform work both inside and outside, which requires stooping, bending and lifting of approximately 50 pounds
