Job Description: Monitors a patient's ECG patterns for abnormal rhythms and interval measurements and reports any changes to the nursing staff and physicians.
Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. This is a 13-week contract assignment and requires at least one 13-week previous travel assignment and two (2) years current experience required in specialty.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret medical monitors and equipment for cardiac rhythms.
- Respond to emergency situations in a calm and confident manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare staff.
- Make sure that all patient care is up to the highest standards.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively with other healthcare team members.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to address issues as they arise.
- Maintain records and documentation related to patient care.
Assist in providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients.
Certifications: BLS certification required and must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Take and pass Basic Arrhythmia test during Onboarding.
Shifts:0630-1900 or 1830-0700 Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required, per staff rotation. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts. Position will float to other areas as needed, within scope of practice.
EMR: EPIC experience preferred, but not required; can train on-site.
Orientation: first week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.
Scrubs: Required and not provided by the facility.

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
