What are the responsibilities and job description for the Arena Event Attendant position at The Classic Center?
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Arena Event Attendant will be responsible for the execution of all planning within the Event Prep Schedule documents created by Event Planners, managing events within Akins Ford Arena as assigned, and monitoring the logistics of assigned events. This position reports directly to the Director of Event Services.
TYPICAL WORK ROUTINE INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintain a productive work schedule as required by events assigned by the Director of Event Services.
- Follow the Event Planner’s detailed written outlines and instructions for events as required.
- Study and prepare detailed scaled drawings illustrating event requirements and other event documents.
- Notify the Director of Event Services of facilities or equipment in need of repair or replacement.
- Interact with Akins Ford Arena staff in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner.
- Serve as the primary contact for the client during their event at Akins Ford Arena.
- Be proficient in all areas of life safety in accordance with operational policy and procedures.
- Work an irregular schedule as required, ensuring proper supervision of all assigned events and activities scheduled in Akins Ford Arena.
- Perform other duties, functions, and special projects as assigned by the Director of Operations of Akins Ford Arena.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum high school education or equivalent. A college degree is preferred. Additional years of experience may serve as a substitute on the basis of two (2) years of experience for one (1) year of college.
- Ability to demonstrate supervisory skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
The candidate who is selected for this position will have to successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
