What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director of Innovation position at The Classical Academies?
The Executive Director of Innovation (EDI) is a critical leadership role within The Classical Academies, leading an integrated scope of work that includes both 1) school-model innovation and 2) technology systems modernization and edtech. This role will focus on:
1. Improving and growing a world-class virtual program from 2nd to 12th grade across our network of schools and directly managing, coaching, and developing the leaders and teams advancing this work;
2. Designing and building the “in-person” model for students attending the virtual programming in partnership with Principals for maximum value proposition to virtual program students and families;
3. Partnering with the Executive Director of Educational Services (principal manager) to recommend and then implement best-in-class tools, practices, platforms, and solutions to programmatic challenges in our hybrid schools to increase engagement, coherence, efficiency, and flexibility for students, families, and teachers;
4. Leading our AI strategy across employees and schools, both to improve our internal use of AI for automation, efficiency, and to build “augmented professionals” as well as curriculum, programs, and instructional approaches for students as we prepare students to thrive in today’s workforce and society;
5. Partner with other senior leaders to quarterback analysis, selection, and implementation of modernization tools and processes; and
6. Supporting the organization as a key member of the enterprise senior leadership team, building bridges across departments in service of our schools and students.

Salary : $135,000 - $170,000
