The Claussen Group has two immediate openings for Seasonal ON-CALL Snow Removal laborers. We are seeking qualified, motivated, and dependable candidates to join our growing team. The position will work in North Sioux City, SD. You will be responsible to respond in a timely manner to snow events and assist in the clearing of snow following best practices. The Seasonal employee will demonstrate excellent prioritization skills with attention to detail, excellent customer service and quality workmanship.
- This is a Seasonal temporary position through the winter snow season only.
- Shift, Schedule, and Hours worked will vary depending on weather conditions and unpredictable snow events. If no snow/ice event, no hours.
Job tasks Include but not limited to:
- Remove snow as directed utilizing equipment provided to include but not limited to shovels, blower, skid loader, tool cat.
- Represent The Claussen Group in a professional and courtesy manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring current landscape and property is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow.
- Maintain and care for company provided equipment, tools, and vehicles.
- Understand and meet schedules without sacrificing great customer service or excellent quality
- Perform work outdoors in all weather conditions and wear appropriate gear for protection from elements.
- Adhere to all policies and values of The Claussen Group.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record preferred.
- Excellent time management skills; available for seasonal long hours, a clear schedule to work all hours of the day, any day of the week and this position will require coverage of holiday work as needed.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and manage time.
- Positive attitude, self-driven, flexible, strong work ethic, and detailed oriented.
- Punctual and dependable with reliable transportation.
- High School Diploma or GED certificate. (preferred).
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, sit for periods of time, and lift/move heavy loads.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Snow removal experience, preferred.
