What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tattoo Artist position at The Clay Hole?
Job Summary
We are looking for two talented and passionate Tattoo Artists to join us at our brand new giant pottery and art studio. You will need to possess exceptional artistic skills, a strong understanding of tattooing techniques, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and safety. As a Tattoo Artist, you will be responsible for designing and executing custom tattoos that meet the unique preferences of our clients while ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
Who and what we are:
My name is Dan Pearce. Millions follow me on social media for my pottery. I have a private pottery studio and have been running a couple classes myself the last few years, and I am now opening a MASSIVE pottery and art studio in Draper called The Clay Hole.
This new pottery studio is the most loaded state-of-the-art pottery studio you'll ever walk into. More than 500 different commercial glazes, thousands of tools, lounge areas, game areas, artist workshops, etc, and the whole things is just going to be... epic.
On top of all that, we have an unused room off of the classes that would be perfect for a couple of tattoo artists to setup shop and partner with me in a real win-win situation.
Why this is the perfect place to come work/partner:
- We will have hundreds of different students every month coming and going
- The majority of those students have ADHD or are neurodivergent. This also means most of them love getting tattoos, love egging each other on to get tattoos, and have years-long plans to get tattoos that they've never gotten because ADHD people procrastinate until they've got it right there available to them!
- You'll get to setup this room/parlor any way you like. Make murals on the walls, etc. The more awesome you make it the better.
- You'll also be able to bring in outside clients
- We'll split the 60/40 in exchange for no rent or leases, etc. Tips are yours to keep.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and create custom tattoo designs that reflect their ideas.
- Execute high-quality tattoos using various techniques while adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tattoo station, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with clients throughout the tattooing process, providing guidance on aftercare and addressing any concerns.
- Stay updated on industry trends, styles, and techniques to continually enhance artistic skills.
- Assist in managing the studio environment, including inventory management and maintaining supplies.
- Utilize sales techniques to promote services and products offered in the studio.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tattooing with a strong portfolio showcasing your artistic abilities.
- Proficiency in illustrating designs that cater to diverse client preferences.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and understand their needs effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
- Knowledge of color theory to ensure harmonious color application in designs.
- Familiarity with first aid practices related to tattooing procedures is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Join our studio as a Tattoo Artist where your creativity can flourish, and you can make a lasting impact on our clients through your art!
