What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Maintenance Technician position at The Cleaning Authority?
The Cleaning Authority of Knoxville is seeking a part-time individual for a weekend vacuum maintenance technician. The job is anywhere from 6-10hrs / wk and can be done on your schedule anytime between Friday at 5pm to midnight on Sunday. This person must be reliable and have reasonable mechanical abilities to evaluate something (in our case, a vacuum), take it apart, repair and put back together. The work is great for anyone who likes to tinker with things. Detailed training will be provided, but it's not complicated. Provided tools involved include screwdriver, pliers, and cordless drill. Nothing heavy. The office also has a wall mounted TV, so you're welcome to stream your favorite shows or play music while you work.
Tasks are as follows :
- Maintain vacuums for 32 teams (replace belts, clean out brush rollers, plug replacement, general troubleshooting repairs, etc..).
- Process remaining laundry and pack team bags. We have commercial laundry on site. Microfiber cleaning cloths, mop covers and vacuum bags. This is generally 3-4 loads while maintaining the vacuums.
- General office maintenance such as take out trash, fuel up company cars, and assist with inventory of vacuum maintenance parts.
- While the position is independent of the daily operations of the office. The work is performed after hours / weekends when the office is closed, however security cameras are on site and Management / Owners are available anytime needed for support.
