The Enterprise Strategic Program Management (SPM) group is a centralized function within the Strategy organization responsible for the program management and governance of enterprise level strategic initiatives. Team’s goal is to be responsive to the needs of the firm as directed by the Leadership team, delivering against the firm’s top initiatives and strategic imperatives. Team ensures that programs are managed in a consistent, methodical and programmatic fashion by a central team of program managers. This companywide function will enable our staff, the leadership team, our clients, and our governance bodies to stay connected, understand roles and responsibilities, and prioritize and drive further discipline for our enterprise-level strategic programs that continue to transform The Clearing House.
The SVP, Strategic Program Management group will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and own the delivery of multiple strategic programs while leading a small group of program managers and analysts.

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee and manage a short-list of high-priority, enterprise level strategic programs that are critical to company’s transformation and success. Ideal candidate will bring expertise in working within regulated environments, ensuring programs are executed with precision, consistency and compliance while fostering strong relationships across the company
Program Leadership
Employees will report to the office two to three days each week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.
The anticipated annual salary range for NY-based candidates for this position is $250,000 - $320,000. Base salary and position level will be determined by the role, experience, skill set and location. For eligible positions, discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded contingent on personal and company performance. We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee and manage a short-list of high-priority, enterprise level strategic programs that are critical to company’s transformation and success. Ideal candidate will bring expertise in working within regulated environments, ensuring programs are executed with precision, consistency and compliance while fostering strong relationships across the company
Program Leadership
- Lead the management and execution of enterprise level strategic programs, ensuring alignment with company priorities
- Own the execution of initiatives from program structure to completion; may own independently or lead the efforts of program manager(s) and/or program analyst(s) to plan and execute with quality
- Develop and implement program management frameworks, tools and processes to ensure consistency across all programs
- Establish and oversee governance mechanisms to monitor progress, resolve issues and manage risks
- Ensure materials creatively and effectively drive conversation and ensure visibility of key program considerations
- Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship, guidance and performance management
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Partner with senior leadership in the Technology, Product, Legal and Risk organizations to set and deliver against initiative objectives
- Partner with the corresponding business/product owners for each program
- Provide regular program updates, communicating key milestones, risk and outcomes effectively to all levels of the organization
- Proactively manage and mitigate risks associated with initiative execution and company processes
- Proactively identify and remediate inefficient processes that do not support delivery
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or a related field
- 15 years of experience in program management, with a focus on leading enterprise level strategic transformation initiatives
- Minimum 8 years people management
- Currently in consulting or doing similar work at a financial services or payments company
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in managing programs in regulated industries (e.g. financial services, payments, healthcare, etc.) with exposure to regulatory oversight
- Deep knowledge of program management principles, methodologies, controls and KPI’s
- Proven ability to influence all levels of an organization with a track record of thoughtful and effective influence of C-level business and technology leaders
- Collaborative team player with the ability to build relationships across functions and organizations
- Deep commitment to resource development
- Knowledge of payments industry systems and products
- Understanding of financial regulatory environment
- Familiarity with risk management and compliance requirements
