Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a combination of physical labor and knowledge of landscaping techniques, ensuring that all grounds are kept in excellent condition. The Groundskeeper will work closely with other team members to create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular lawn care, including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass and plant life.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Assist in landscape maintenance by planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as needed.
- Irrigate gardens and lawns to ensure proper hydration during dry periods.
- Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor spaces by removing debris, litter, and other hazards.
- Collaborate with the landscaping team to design and implement new garden layouts or enhancements.
- Follow safety protocols while operating equipment and handling materials.
Experience
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in gardening and landscaping tasks is essential.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while performing physical labor.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor environments.
