POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the CCG EHS Manager located at the ClimateMaster facility, the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) intern supports the CCG EHS departments by assisting with various tasks such as EHS inspections, data collection, reporting, and training, while also learning about EHS programs and compliance. This position will also be responsible for various administrative tasks associated with the sites EHS programs and systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
· Interact with and guide personnel on various EHS subjects.
- Assists in the design, analysis, review, administration, and implementation of the company’s occupational health and safety, and environmental programs.
- Coordinates EHS improvement activities with other departments.
- Identify hazards and determine corrective actions to improve health and safety in the workplace.
- Perform/participate in incident investigations.
- Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with company and government health and safety standards and regulations.
- Develop and conduct employee training on a variety of topics.
- Prepare, issue, and file EHS documents, forms, and reports as required.
- Administer the sites various EHS management software, as well as other EHS systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s or associate degree, or working toward a degree in occupational health, safety or related technical field and/or a combination of education and relevant experience is preferred.
Experience: Experience or coursework in occupational health, safety or related technical field preferred.
Computer Skills: Skilled with MS Office suite. Experience with various EHS management software and Environmental reporting systems preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: First aid/CPR, OSHA 10 or 30 hour, or similar is preferred.
Other Requirements: Must have excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills, especially when presenting in front of an audience. Detail-oriented and possesses a high level of problem-solving skills.
