POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Control Clerk generates work orders, prepares work order packets, updates reports, supports the production team with reprints or schedule adjustments, and supports the engineering department with various production-related requests.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- May perform any combination of the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work orders, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques
- Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies
- Sorts and distributes work orders, labelling, and other materials.
- Supports the Engineering Team with various requests for PCN adherence or ENG sample parts.
- Read charts prepared by Production Planning and Engineering containing certain information required for some unit tags.
- Operate, load with tag stock and printing ribbons and maintain clean, the tag printing equipment.
- Print accurate unit tags (five-part tag) in advance of actual production.
- Review CTB file to print tags to match the schedule and allow kitting for each production line.
- Maintain the inventory of unprinted unit tags and timely notification to Purchasing when additional unit tags need to be acquired.
- Schedule, Release, and maintain Parts orders for production
- Assist Production Scheduler as backup and process MFG Jira Shortages
- Keep MFG Jira shortages up to date and release accordingly daily to programming
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills and Abilities
Education: High School diploma/GED required. Associate degree in a business-related field is preferred
Experience: 1-3 years of manufacturing/production experience required. Experience serving a demanding production environment and understanding how to meet their needs. HVAC product knowledge is preferred.
Computer Skills: Skilled with MS Office Suite including MS Excel. ERP (AS400) experience preferred.
