Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of medical practice within our facility. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and IV infusions as per physician orders while adhering to safety protocols.
- Oversee case management processes, ensuring effective communication among healthcare providers and patients.
- Implement infection control measures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in handling complex patient cases, including those with disabilities.
- Facilitate the smooth operation of the unit by managing patient flow and addressing any issues that arise during shifts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or Level I Trauma Center setting to optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license with relevant certifications.
- Proven experience in medication administration and IV infusion techniques.
- Familiarity with case management practices and infection control protocols.
- Experience administering injections safely and effectively.
- Strong clinical skills in a medical office or similar healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
