Summary: The Clinical Payments Specialist is a full-time position responsible for complete oversight and management of Investigator payments, reconciliations, invoicing, and bookkeeping. The Clinical Payments Specialist is responsible for ensuring payments are received within contracted terms and for answering all investigator questions/concerns regarding financials.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Data Entry, Management, and Reconciliation of QuickBooks
- Research and identify payment discrepancies in investigator payments
- Review and interpret clinical research protocols and develop budgets to capture trial activity
- Communicate with investigator sites to set annual standard pricing for procedures (EGD, Colonoscopy, etc.)
- Communicate and solicit input from clinical staff and management to clarify protocol questions, standard of care procedures, and other nuances that would affect the budget.
- Develop and distribute consolidated monthly payments reports detailing the status of paid/unpaid payments for each participating trial
- Meet monthly with Investigator Sites to ensure comprehension and satisfaction with financial wellness of their sites
- Point contact for all Investigator related queries regarding financials
- Identify trends in underpayment/overpayments
- Manage and oversee all invoicing for investigator sites, start-ups, procedures, and closeouts
- Oversee and update weekly revenue trackers for each participating investigator site
- Assist in special projects as assigned by management
- Perform other related duties as required or requested
- Develop and provide budgetary forecasts for project teams for investigator payments
- Review and process sponsor request for amendments, budgets, and contracts in a timely manner
- Negotiate directly with industry sponsors to reach an agreement on budget and payment terms ensuring favorable overall results while establishing and maintaining positive working relationships.

Qualifications:
- Two-Four years’ healthcare accounting or finance experience, desired preferably in a clinical research setting.
- Education: Four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance, required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
- Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
