Your role at Clorox:
As a Global Insights Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Category Leadership Accelerator team, driving Clorox's competitive edge by developing and delivering powerful, holistic, and objective Category and Shopper Insights. These insights are key to encouraging category growth at retail and positioning Clorox as an undisputed industry thought leader.You will lead market research projects focused on shopper and category insights, with the goal of influencing critical business decisions across Clorox’s Business Units and Sales teams. You will deliver actionable insights that drive category performance, uncover growth opportunities, and support both short- and long-term business objectives. In this role, you will:
Responsibilities
- Deliver best-in-class foundational and ongoing insights to Clorox retailer teams and Business Units (BUs) to craft critical initiatives, drive assortment and shelving optimization, build compelling innovation and win line/category reviews with retailers.
- Develop and maintain category and shopper foundational fact-base by articulating learning plans that enable delivery of BU strategic plans and Connected Customer Planning, as: Path-to-Purchase, Decision Hierarchies, Shelving Principles, Category Trackers.
- Continuously leverage available retail and consumer big data sources hands-on Circana, Nielsen, Numerator and other Panel- and Scanner-based solutions) to proactively offer a fresh and generative perspective on evolution of shopper behavior as well as retail dynamics that can be harnessed for growth in assigned categories. This includes but is not limited to scanner and panel data analyses to assess headwinds/tailwinds, strengths/opportunities at the category level (e.g. annual State of the Category) and for key retailers (Top 2-3 retailers for the category – Growth Strategies).
- Lead capability building and continuous modernization in areas of expertise (e.g. Assortment Optimization, Shelving Leadership) to ensure ongoing competitive advantage for Clorox insights capabilities.
Market and Consumer Insights:
- Apply a wide range of custom research methodologies, leveraging a wealth of shopper and retailer data and insights, to develop compelling insights and ideas that spark growth.
- Build, integrate, and expand insights from learning plans by combining primary research, existing knowledge, internal DIY tools, and third-party data sources to drive actionable recommendations aligned to business objectives.
- Lead in-depth analyses of macro & market trends, and consumer behavior within the assigned categories.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to understand shifts in consumer preferences, purchasing patterns, and emerging trends.

What we look for:
Experience
- 7 years of comprehensive experience in both quantitative and qualitative insights or market research.
- Client-side experience, preferably within the CPG industry, with a deep understanding of consumer goods and retail dynamics.
- Experience in Shopper and/or Category Insights is a plus.
- Strong data analysis skills, including maximising PoS and Panel solutions such as Circana, Nielsen, Numerator and others.
- Proven business acumen with the ability to translate insights into actionable business strategies.
- Evidence of ability to influence business direction as a strategic partner.
- Demonstrated ability to influence business direction and act as a strategic partner.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SPSS, or similar)

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Market Research, Marketing, Behavioral Science, Economics, MBA, related field or equivalent work experience.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $124,300 - $244,900
–Zone B: $114,700 - $224,500
–Zone C: $103,600 - $204,100
