Your role at Clorox:
The Packaging Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the Burnside Kingsford Packaging department. In this role, the Packaging Manger will serve as a leader and a coach for all Packaging department team members focusing on daily management and coordination of safety, quality, costs, raw material management, customer service, people development, and performance management.

In this role, you will:
Operating Results – Operating Floor Leadership
- Lead and coordinate resources needed to drive daily operations (safety, production, quality) and assure follow-up actions are identified and completed.
- Ensure that effective daily managing systems are in place to drive to root cause and process centered interventions.
- Drive operating results through department teams and star coordinator/cell interaction and engagement.
- Achieve current week/month/year operating targets in safety, OEE, costs, product and service quality, and capital and inventory management.
- Helps set process and workflow direction for department and provides direct input into team performance and evaluations. Handles requests and issues that require escalation beyond frontline and team resources.
- Ensure and nurture a safe working environment.
- Lead sustainability process efforts (Centerlines, CILs, Abnormality tracking) to maintain and improve daily operations at world class standards.
- Utilize pillar leadership/teams to develop, implement, and execute tactical strategies to meet operating goals.
- Responsible for 4 shifts – 1 operating department - 32 Regular full-time employees and 2 Raw Material Coordinators
- Responsible for meeting Fiscal Year depart budget goals
- May require oversight on capital projects
What we look for:
- 5 - 7 years of operational experience
- Operational technical experience
- Team facilitation and consensus building working thru engagement of various levels of the organization
- Excellent oral/written communication and people skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Desire to move upward and relocate within Clorox
- Exposure to World Class Manufacturing, Lean, or 6 sigma is a plus.
- BS/BA – Technical/Engineering, operations, or Business or equivalent experience
