JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Marina Dock Attendant
Department: Marina
Reports To: Assistant Harbormaster
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Approved By: Director of Marina Operations
Summary:
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at the marina. Delivers a high level of service to boaters, members, and their guests. Performs all duties and services required of marina personnel in a safe, courteous, efficient, and professional manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Assists with the docking and placement of vessels in the marina and assists with the proper security of their docking.
· Assists boaters, members, guests, and crew carrying supplies to and from their boats.
· Completes fuel report at the end of the day and ensures the report is turned into the Assistant Harbormaster or Marina Director.
· Ensures cleanliness of the entire Marina throughout the day.
· Delivers previous days paperwork to the accounting department.
· Prints fuel inventory each morning and evening.
· Performs daily boat count by inspecting all boats to ensure they are properly secured to dock.
· Gives the Assistant Harbormaster or Marina Director the daily dock audit and fuel inventory report to distinguish if fuel needs to be delivered.
· Ensures the Marina golf carts and handcarts are cleaned daily and washed at least once a week.
· Assists members, guests, and crew with merchandise purchases and ensures the coolers are stocked with inventory throughout the day.
· Ensures safety/operational/disbursement of fuel products and inventory (i.e., oil stock, fuel levels, and the daily accounting for fuel reports).
- Efficiently handles guest check-ins and outs as they pertain to the Marina.
- Performs the daily opening and closing procedures for the marina and accounts for all member charges, and credit card transactions.
· Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
· Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor and grooming standards to reflect a positive image of The Club at Admirals Cove.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Harbormaster and Director of Marina Operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Ability to properly dock watercrafts in accordance with the rules and etiquette of good seamanship.
· Expertise in knot-tying.
· Familiarity with proper operating procedures and protocols.
· Knowledge of boat related systems and docking procedures.
· Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing.
· Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
· Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and members.
· Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak on a one-on-one basis to members and guests.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills are required such as Word, Excel, and Outlook to effectively perform in this role.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Boater Safety Course recommended.

Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Weekend, holidays, and evening shifts are often required.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
