Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Utilize various cooking techniques and tools, including knives, to create visually appealing sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and sushi preparation area.
- Ensure all food is prepared following health regulations and safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends in culinary arts, particularly in sushi preparation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting.
