Summary
Provides outstanding service to our members and their guests in a professional and courteous manner. Primarily responsible for the comfort of members and their guests while they are utilizing the pool facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets every member and guest that enters the pool area with a courtesy welcome while verbally offering all the amenities and services provided.
- Opens all umbrellas uniformly, neatly arranges all pool furniture.
- Cleans on a daily basis all pool furniture; including umbrella tables and chairs, chaise lounge chairs and small beverage tables.
- Keeps adequate supply of towels available at all times. If towel inventory becomes low, notifies Supervisor so that the appropriate action can be taken.
- Sweeps and washes the pool deck on a daily basis
- Collects daily weather conditions and club activities. Informs members and guests of information.
- Routinely inspects condition of cabana bathrooms and notifies Housekeeping of needed attention.
- Keeps work area clean and neatly organized at all times.
- Informs Supervisor when supplies levels are low. Acquires general and first aid kit supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of pool by brushing, skimming, checking chemical levels and temperature, on a schedule basis.
Other Functions
- Empties trash containers on the pool deck throughout the day, as needed. The trash containers should be emptied prior to leaving at the end of your shift.
- Puts attendant “Off Duty” sign up prior to leaving work area.
- Develops a rapport with the membership that creates a welcoming environment. Anticipates the needs of the members with repetitive requests.
- At the end of each shift, ensures pool deck is completely clean and stocked for members arriving after shift is done.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
