Scope:
The Lifeguard ensures the safety of all members and guests to the pool areas of the fitness, tennis and spa facility. Maintains clean sanitary environments of the pool areas, monitors pool areas, and participates in stocking of pool linens and laundry as needed.
Position Type:
Seasonal for Summer of 2025
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitors pool areas for safety
- Maintains clean and sanitary pool environments
- Reports all incidents
- Prepared and capable to respond in emergency situations
- Perform opening and closing duties in the pool area.
- Greet members and guests as they arrive.
- Keep the pool area clean and orderly.
- Monitors pool chemicals.
- Monitors bathers for safety.
- Ensure that maximum bather capacity is not exceeded and immersion time is observed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations with tact and diplomacy.
- Communicate all problems, functional maintenance issues, and safety concerns to spa management.
- Communicate all situations/concerns with members/guests to spa management.
- Monitors pool deck amenities (pool toys, deck furniture).
- Required to be in proper and complete uniform as designated and be at scheduled station at the scheduled time.
- No cell phones allowed during working shift.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Exercise Science Degree or degree in physical activity and education preferred
Certification and/or License Requirement:
CPR and AED certified
Basic First Aid
Lifeguard certification
