Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Banquet Set-Up Person to join our team. This position is responsible for setting up and breaking down banquet rooms for events such as weddings, corporate meetings, and special functions. The ideal candidate will ensure that all setups are completed according to event specifications, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, and other décor according to event specifications.
- Arrange banquet equipment, staging, podiums, and audiovisual materials as needed.
- Ensure the banquet space is clean, organized, and ready before each event.
- Break down and store tables, chairs, and other equipment after events.
- Assist with minor cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
- Follow safety guidelines for lifting and moving heavy items.
- Address last-minute changes or special requests with efficiency and professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in banquet or event setup preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
